Hello fellow moms and dads!
My name is Wendy, and my son is just one of many special needs kids right here in Victoria. Currently, I find myself conflicting with the school system as to what is in the best interest of my child.
In talking to some other parents, I have found that I am not the only one having issues in regards to my special needs child's education.
I am trying to start a support group for all of the parents out there who, like me, are struggling with the school system to ensure that our children get the education they deserve. My goal is to let parents know that they aren't going through this alone. There are a lot of us with valid concerns. I am forming this group to help educate parents on childhood behavioral, mental, and physical disorders, to educate parents on ours and our kids legal rights in regards to education, to provide a venue to express our concerns and frustrations, and to organize ourselves so that we...
