Today's story about Porter Gavin Grimes -- a baby boy born at 11:55 p.m. Saturday, five minutes before Father's Day -- caused quit a stir.
Little Porter's parents, Michael Acuna and Allison Grimes, are not married.
Online commenters are upset the newspaper featured young parents who are unwed.
The Advocate's Bj Lewis reported the story.
"In light of the uproar ... I wanted to explore the issue of wed versus unwed parents," Bj said.
Bj wants to talk to parents, both married and unwed, about parenthood.
"Times are changing and unwed parents are more common. I would like to speak with people willing to share thoughts, comments and insight, success stories and other tales about being an unwed parent -- or even being a married parent who is no longer married," Bj said. "That happens, too."
