Hello all!
This is Wendy again, and once again I am speaking out to the parents of special needs kids here in Victoria and the surrounding counties.
I have been going around and around with VISD in regards to my special needs son, and everyone I have spoken with at the Administration building keeps passing the buck to someone else. I was even denied my request to speak with the Superintendent!
After all of this wild goose chase, I submitted a request to the Texas Education Agency for a Special Education Mediation. VISD is refusing to mediate.
What does this say to the parents out there in the same boat as I am? What it says is this: VISD is unwilling to work with us in ensuring that our special needs kids are given the education they deserve! What it says is that VISD is trying to intimidate us into giving in to what THEY want and NOT what is in the best interest of our children!
