Yours truly is taking a position with the Denton Record-Chronicle, with my last Advocate day being July 10.
Twenty-two months ago I came here from Ruston, La., a fresh graduate of Louisiana Tech University. I just needed a job somewhere or I was going to be a broke college graduate. After sending out umpteen resumes, it seemed like all hope was lost. The journalism department received word of a reporter position opening in Victoria from current copy editor, and Bulldog alum, Eric Jensen.
I applied and was able to get the position. I came here covering education and finish with faith/family. I have had my share of ups and downs with my work. I have had a chance to be a part of some big stories here and I got to to learn from some good people here. I am taking that experience and those lessons with me as I move to a new place with new people and new stories to tell.
So I just wanted to thank all those...
