SPCA of Texas Offers Reward to Help End Dog Fighting

A $5,000 incentive is available to informers who help to stop this illegal sport.

Straight from today’s headlines, despite its illegality, dog fighting is as prevalent as ever before. While most people are not exposed to the fights themselves, the blood “sport” is widespread on an underground level.
In an effort to help stop dog fighting, the SPCA of Texas out of Dallas, has offered a “$5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any individual involved in dog fighting in the state of Texas.” If you are aware of any dog fight activity, they ask that you contact your local law enforcement agency, as well as the SPCA of Texas by phone 214-742-SPCA (7722) or via their website, www.spca.org/cruelty.
The seriousness of this issue was not lost on the 2007 Texas legislature. HB 916 was passed...
