Bay City and Cuero produced another outstanding game at Cuero's Gobbler Stadium. Cuero won 26-21, avenging last year's 29-21 loss in Bay City.
The Gobblers ralled to score the winning touchdown with 22 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter and extended their home winning streak to 26 games.
The Bay City defense put tremendous pressure on Cuero quarterback Tyler Arndt, sacking him twice. But Arndt responded by completing 25 of 38 passes for 253 yards and one touchdown.
Arndt made some incredible throws in leading Cuero to touchdowns on its final two drives.
The Gobblers got other big plays from Jennings Boothe, who caused and recovered the fumble that led to the game-winning drive and a blocked punt by Andrew Thibodeaux that led to Cuero's first touchdown and interceptions by Jake Rangnow and Isiah Glover.
Bay City recovered two Cuero fumbles and junior Le'Tevin Wilcox rushed for 133 yards and scored on runs of 1 and 55 yards.
