My Grandfather was of English descent, and so my Grandmother made him pasties when I was a boy. She filled them with cubed chunks of beef and potato with some diced onion, placed a bit of butter in with that, folded the crust over, did that number you do with the edge of a pie crust and baked them. They looked like about half of a football. My mouth is watering just remembering!
