To txgasman: I visted with the DA and learned more about this so-called "rift". It seems that the DA cannot go forward with a true explanation because it covers many pending trials and to comment about pending trials is not only a violation of law but could taint a potential juror. The DA is more interested in preserving the future of pending trials that what he looks like to the public, for now. The police are not held under the same law and can comment all they want. I feel that the police know this and are playing along this line to make the DA, a more deanding DA, look like a fool. Find anyone that has been a recent victim of any crime and see if they feel the police did a good job. Most people find their own evidence and turn it over! Within the next year we as the public will have a clearer picture of what has been going on once the cases currently pending are finalized in the judicial system and the DA can speak freely about what was going on.
