I respectfully disagree. The surge was intended to give the Iraqi Parliament time yo come up with a POLITICAL RESOLUTION.
General Petraeus said we cannot win this militarily. No political resolution then the surge is not working. Did 28,000 addition troops help quell the violence ,yes but so did the ethic cleansing by the Shia Militia.....MSM is not the only source.Dignitaries from other countries will say Iraq is still very unstable. $20 billion for rebuilding Iraq and 5 years later and still limited utilities...Sorry but I think a trillion dollars can be spent better in America. But God bless your son and may he come home safely.
