Themis, your mixing your metaphors here.
The Republican Party is not the hold out for right wing Conservatives or those who believe in Jesus Christ. Republican Party does not equal orthodox Christianity. Many people, such as myself, are registered Democrats who vote the person, not the party. I just happen to find more people who agree with my philosophy in the Republican Party, but it's not an absolute.
Por ejemplo: Rudy Guliani, a Repblican who is pro abortion, pro homosexual marriage, pretty much pro all your favorite themes. BUT, he's a Republican. To me, Rudy Guiliani and Hillary Clinton are similar except she wears a dress.
He doesn't LIVE his Catholic faith, so he's been married three times and thinks killing babies is a woman's "choice."
I could ask you, "Why do Democrats kill (babies)?" and it would be a strawman argument, because not all Democrats are frothing-at-mouth pro-abortionists like Ted Kennedy.
