Hi Shurelee,
Yes, I am probably judgemental about Christians who think they know what God wants, but I am so very tired of the hypocrasy (sorry spelling bad today). I had an evangelical uncle of mine come to my father's funeral and tell me that it was a shame my Dad was going to hell because he hadn't been saved. The "church" that protests funerals of gay people who die of AIDS is another reason these so-called Christians turn my stomach.
The Jesus I learned about was tolerant and kind, never condemning people. Anyone who judges and condemns is not a Christian IMHO.
I addressed the symposium in the other comment on the other story. The APA will not change it's stance on reparative therapy. It is harmful with a capital H and if you think Ted Haggert is going to not be gay cuz he went to therapy, think again. He'll just learn to hide it better. He didn't want to be gay, that was obvious, as was his self-hatred.
