I do not understand why I do not have the right to back Dr. Jaynes just because I was associated with drill team. I consider him a friend and someone I truly respect. He was my doctor before I ever dealt with him or DJ in drill team. He delivered my children. I can back him if I want, I can stand on the sides of streets, and I can place signs in my yard. I have a right as an American to do this. And by the way, drill team did not cost the district money over MTV, poor administrating cost the district. Drill team did everything by the book. Administration and a school board member met with MTV in October. They gave them name tags to be on their campus, and then 3 or 4 months later claimed they knew nothing about it. They were also filmed by MTV.
People and VISD need to stop blaming students and teachers for their lack of professionalism, and they need to take responsibility for what they did. This is over and is not an issue for the school board election.
