Everyone also has to remember that most of the rescue places are FULL. Yes this is really sad, but the owner has passed away and more than likely they couldn't take care of the horses before the owner passed away. Family members probably dont know about the horses as in some cases. Im sure people are doing what they can but they also have other things to do (child abuse, murder, drugs, etc...) These peolpe cant just drop everything and go help, Im sure they would like too. It cost money, time, man power to take care of horses (I know I own horses). Yes I hate to see this happen to horses much less any animal but it does and more than likely it will always happen. We do what we can.
