The 2008 Healthy Aging Conference will be held on Thursday, May 15, from 8:30-2:00 at the Victoria Community Center, 2905 E. North. Admission is $2.00, includes lunch. The conference is devoted exclusively to education and health screening for senior adults and caregivers. Educational seminars on Alzheimer's, foot care, exercising with arthritis, stroke, consumer fraud, safe driving, cooking demonstration, diabetes and sleep disorders. Giant health fair, free screening. Limited free transportation available by calling 3 days in advance to the Area Agency on Aging 361-578-1587. Advance Registration encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. Register by calling the Victoria Extension Office at 361-575-4581.
