After a childhood that revolved completely around sports, I knew that I wanted to continue being around athletics for the rest of my life. Hitting around .150 in high school will not even get you on the bench for the worst junior college baseball team, so I found myself a sports outlet as a sports writer. The Victoria Advocate is my third stop on the sports journalism journey, and I'm enjoying covering all kinds of local sports.
I'm originally from Georgetown, but have lived throughout the state of Texas including stops in Austin, San Marcos, Huntsville and Tyler. I graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler, and worked as a sports writer in Duncan, Oklahoma.
