About Sonny
Hello all and welcome to my blog! I am Sonny Long, a ranging reporter for the Victoria Advocate. I have been with the newspaper since Nov. 2005. Things you need to know about me in relationship to this blog are that I am not only a reporter, but dabble in "creative writing," too. I have independently published two books - one a collection of poetry and short stories and one a collection of 20 years of newspaper columns. In 2004, I also had the pleasure of being published by St. Martin's Press. I am the co-author of "Bad News for McEnroe," by Bill Scanlon, a former tennis professional. My late sister Cathy and I co-authored the hardback non-fiction. And like so many others, I have other manuscripts looking for homes - a novel, a children's book...and dozens of ideas for more. Anything else you'd like to know about me, just ask!
