About Isaac
Isaac De Los Santos Born on July 11, 1975 in Victoria Texas to Thomas & Rosemary De Los Santos, Isaac De Los Santos was the first of five boys that grew up in a house of music. After learning to play his first instrument, the trumpet, at the age of seven, Isaac went on to learn the guitar when he was eleven. At age thirteen Isaac helped found his family's Mariachi Group, Mariachi De Los Santos. He had the opportunity to travel all over the United States & Mexico and shared the stage with such names as Linda Ronstad, Vicente Fernandez, Angeles Ochoa, Mariachi Vargas de Techalitlan, & many others. While attending Stroman High School Isaac joined the choir under the direction of Susan Bauer where he received numerous state and national accolades, including the "Arion Award" Scholarship that was given to the most outstanding Musician at Stroman High School. After graduating in 1994 Isaac joined the United States Marines, and recieved an Honorable/Medical Discharge in 1998. Following the four year suspension in the Marines, Isaac renewed his path by attending the Victoria College as a Music Major under the instruction of Dr. Marilynn Fletcher & Mr. Jonathan Anderson. While a student he helped found a Mariachi Ensemble at the college. He then went on to study music theory and composition in Corpus Christi under the instruction of Dr. Neil Flory from the University of Texas. In November of 2001 Isaac signed a recording contract with Discos MM records out of Houston Texas, as Lead Vocalist for the new Tejano group Los Tremendos V . After the release of their first album "Destino Cruel" the group has been invited to play at the Tejano Music Awards Fan Fair, and Monterrey Mexico, which are considered to be top honors in the Industry today.In November of 2002 Isaac received the news he had been awaiting since he started 20 years ago. Los Tremendos V has been nominated for five Tejano Music Awards: Album of the year, Song of the year, Most promising band, Vocal Duo of the year & Conjunto Traditional. Isaac was also Nominated for Male Entertainer of the year & Male Vocalist of the year. Isaac is now a Business Managment major at the University of Houston-Victoria looking to start up a recording studio FOR the Musician.
