Hey there Advos...
I'm 25 and I am new to Victoria - I think it's really nice, but the traffic is insane for a town of 60K. It seems this city has outgrown itself. But it is definitely the prettiest town I've lived in.
I moved here after living in Yoakum for a year. The boredom there nearly killed me, but I made a narrow escape (Yoakum is a cute little town with lots of friendly people - just a little small for my taste).
I'm from Odessa TX originally. I moved to this area a little over a year ago for a change of scenery (anyone who has been to Odessa knows what I mean) and to help my brother and my dad with their new business. We're contract oilfield gaugers... year and a half and going strong!
I'm a big computer-geek, but don't assume that I fit the stereotype. I do have a social life (or did in Odessa). Do not ask me anything about Star Wars or Star Trek. Or to fix your computer. =P
I dropped out of college eleven hours short of a bachelors degree in computer science from UT Permian Basin. It was a poor decision in retrospect, but try eating picante sauce sandwiches while watching your friends that dropped out in eighth grade bring home 75K a year... so now...

I suppose one can get a degree at any time, but oil booms only come around every twenty years or so... get it while you can, right?
I'm somewhat interested in politics. My views tend to lean right, but I stand left on several issues. I'm not one of these wackos that believes "the Left is evil and is always wrong". Nor do I take anything that Limbaugh or Hannity say as gospel (or seriously, for that matter). I'm not sure who I'll vote for in November.
I like getting out and doing things... bowling, pool, concerts - just off of the top of my head. Anything besides sitting at home in front of the tube. Unless the Cowboys are playing or My Name Is Earl is on, which are priority. =P
Anyhow, I have a tendency to ramble. If you wanna know anything about me, just ask.
