About Shurelee Ulysis
I’m a happily married, Born Again Christian, social and political conservative, Marine Corps vet. I’m a damn yankee but I’ve lived in Victoria for over a quarter of a century I spent my first two years in high school in upstate New York, my junior year near Los Angles, graduated from Springbranch Senior High School in Houston, and joined the Marine Corps . I finally went to college at the age of 28 and picked up a bachelors’ degree up north and did my graduate work at the University of Miami in Florida. Over the years I was a professional photographer (9 years), an insurance salesman (one year), a truck fleet account manager (two years), and an engineer (25 years). Now that I’m retired, my main interest is gardening and photography When I was younger, I enjoyed sky diving, scuba diving, dirt biking, canoeing, hunting and fishing. Age, gravity and the follies of youth have caught up and all I can handle now is swimming four or five days a week to keep from falling all the way apart. . I enjoy reading a wide variety of books, surfing the web, cross word puzzles and debating in discussion forums like this one to keep my brain from completely turning into a Swiss cheese. Although it tends to be a hopeless cause, I feel duty bound to try to enlighten and educate liberals about the error of their ways.
