About TDelaney
I am married to Juli and have a daughter, Chelsey, who also is in journalism at the University of Texas.
Currently, I am the Advocate's Community Conversation Editor. This position's responsibilities include Viewpoints Page editor. But the position also deals with community interaction in all aspects.
In my spare time, I have taught writing classes since 1996 at the University of Houston-Victoria, and I have taught freshman English at Victoria College since 1999.
Two of my favorite memories include winning the Associated Press Managing Editor's short feature writing, 2nd place award in 1992.
And I was invited to Great Britain and presented a research paper on King Arthur's Round Table at Cambridge, England.
One of my difficult-time memories was being mayor of a small city (no pay and lots of headaches).
