I grew up in Waco, Texas and graduated from Midway High School.  I graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a B.A. in English.

 My husband, Lee Keeling and I have been married for 21 years this June and we have made Victoria our home for the past 16 years. 

Lee and I have two children:  Ellie, a senior at Memorial High School who will attend Baylor University in the fall and Powell, a Sophomore at Memorial High School who plays basketball and soccer.  Go Vipers!

We are active members of Trinity Episcopal Church.

I am a graduate of the Leadership Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) class of 2007 with Master Trustee status.  I am a working member of TASB's School Board Advocacy Network and have twice served on TASB's Legislative Advisory Committee. 

Currently, I serve as Secretary for the Victoria Business and Education Coalition and recently lead a steering committee that brought the PTO back to Memorial High School Senior Campus.  I am also a member of the VISD Education Foundation.
