About Gabe
My name is Gabe Semenza. I'm 32 and originally from Montana. I grew up about 15 miles outside of Helena -- in the Rocky Mountains and minutes from the Continental Divide Ski Area, which I frequented often. My family -- nature buffs -- took my brother, my sister and me to Yellowstone and Glacier national parks nearly every month. There, my dad, an amateur photographer, would boast that he shoots animals with a camera, and no longer with a gun. My mom would warn my dad not to drive too close to the edge of the parks' cliffs -- and often scream for my brother and me to return to the car. My brother and I often found ourselves in peculiar situations: too far from the car and out in a field to get a close snapshot of an angry moose. With bears, elk, buffalo and a bubbling caldera underfoot, it was probably wiser to stay in the car. These days, I'm an Advocate reporter -- a position that lets me run, as an adult, into all sorts of fields: medicine, law enforcement, and so many others. I've lived in Victoria for about four years, and have been married for just a bit longer than that. My wife and I have three dogs: a boxer who is dumb, a lab who is clever and a mutt who is needy. I'm a mix of all three. I love the Dallas Cowboys and am a bit obsessed with homes ... touring home shows, watching home improvement shows, tinkering with my home and driving around Victoria looking at homes. It's a sickness. Luckily, my wife shares it. So if you see us driving through your neighborhood gawking at the beautiful and interesting homes, give us a wave. I promise to stay in the car.
