Questions for VISD to answer

To the Board of Trustees for VISD:

There are still many unanswered questions regarding the recent events in the District. Two that are particularly bothersome to me are:

First--when is anyone on the board going to come forward and comment on the Schuelke resignation?  It is no longer a personnel matter since Schuelke laid the fact of his resignation out for the public to see.   There should be no reason for secrecy any longer.

Second--Why is the Board so reluctant to answer phone calls, e-mails, or just generally speak of this.  Do you really think this issue is not going to resurface at election time?  Will you discuss it then?

 I have spoken to several folks who tell me that when they do speak to board members or receive an email, the Board members say they don't want to talk about it. 

BJ Lewis--why don't you do a story about the difficulty folks are having with the Board.

I am not familiar with the schulke thing, where can I find info? In talking to all my friends in Victoria, I wondered what the cost was of legal council about the infamous MTV proposition. I finally got my answer from VISD. Approximately $4875.00 was spend trying to negoiate with them. Now, Freinds at Faith Family Church mention that a concert benefits one of your elementary schools for Science class equipment that the district cannot afford........Is that a little insane?
