John Edwards & Barack Obama went straight for the jugular in going
after Hillary. They attacked the vote on calling the Iranian Revolutionary Council a terrorist organization. Saying it will give this president the excuse he needs to
go to war with Iran.
Hillary’s inconsistent answers were exposed on social security and at the end
of the debate she agreed with New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer's controversial plan to give driver's licenses to illegal immigrants but then a minute later started backtracking.
Now Bill Clinton was a master at being evasive but her facial expressions and
demeanor showed she is no Bill Clinton. Will this debate change the numbers?
I don’t know.
I think what was really exposed last night was status quo positions of the front runner.
How can my party complain about the secrecy in the Bush Administration
if Hillary does not turn over all her documents? I understand it gives the other
candidates an unfair advantage, because she will be the only candidate required to
do this. But if this lack of transparency is going to stop, someone has to take
the lead. The other is lobbyist money; Hillary has out raised all the candidates of
both parties in lobbyist money from Wall Street, defense department, and insurance
and drug companies. Some might see it as success but really it business as usual.
Somehow we must have a leader to take us to public financing because these lobbyist
have too much influence.
I am getting suspicious as to why the Bush Administration is getting their way on the
latest NSA spying bill. Did the telecommunication lobbyist have something to do
with it? I don’t know.
This may sound like a slam on Hillary but it really isn’t, it just exposes some of her
weakness in a primary. Great leaders learn form mistakes and they don’t
usually repeat them. Constructive criticism will only make a person stronger.

Or could start an al Qaeda started the fires as Fox Noise did. This was from a 4 year old rumor from a tortured detainee. never mind that he said Montana ,it fit the right objection. Fear.

>"Democrats should stand up or stand aside"<
Or better yet, sit down and be quiet - listening to the same old four or five liberal talking points over and over and over is as enlightening as listening to someone drag their fingernails across a chalkboard.
I just love it that the latest rant is that the damage from the fires in California is all Bush's fault because the National Guardsmen and women are tied up in Iraq. The facts that the area around San Diego is naturally dry, that this time of year (as is normal) high winds coming tearing through the valleys along with tree huggers who wouldn't allow the underbrush to be cleared out on a regular basis because of the spotted owls, PLUS deliberately building in that kind of environment maybe are the real causes for the huge amount of damage....but I digress.

This torture memo and circumventing the FISA court cause many
in the justice department take heed. Comey, Mueller and half a dozen or so other Justice Department officials threatened to resign if it was not changed. The standoff was averted after President Bush agreed to make changes, Mueller and others have testified, but the changes have never been described.

Too much time on Redstate, Townhall, and Newsmax ?They will not tell you data
mining cannot tell the difference between a foreign agent and an American citizen.
Many lawsuits lined up against the telecommunication companies who turned
over their records on American citizens without a court order.
I am not that paranoid that I want to give my civil liberties in the name of so called
Security. How funny that someone is scared of the 2000 or less al Qaeda in Iraq.
The Iraqis will take care of them. The Bush administrations feeds on this fear.
When was the last time so many in an admistration resign?

Emery Cox says that Democrats are:
Enabling the president to break the law
The memo in question was an internal administrative directive defining treatment of enemy combattents. They have NO STANDING under the Genieva Convention. No law broken.
destroy the Constitution,
Please name one case where a citizens constitutional rights have been violated.
Continue the wars and spy on Americans.
The spying is done on foreigners. The war was approved by both sides of congress. The Republicans want to win. Personally I'm glad we are fithting al Queda over there instead of having more 9/11 attacks on US soil.
You are spending too much time at Democrat Underground and Daily Kos. Your reality is in a parallel universe.
If you start the impeachment process today it will take a year or more for the Congressional hearings (remember the purgering president) so the vote would probably take place days before the next president is sworn in. Of course it would have the benefit of tying up Democrats so they can't push any more of their socialistic legislation through congress so maybe it does have its good points.

Emery, while I agree the multiple signing statements are reason
to impeach this president but that would leave Dick Cheney.
A war with Iran would follow.
The Democrats have a razor like edge in congress. In the senate Joe
Lieberman (D? /Ind) makes it 50/50.They need Republican support
or a solid congressional majority. Besides Nancy Pelosi would have
to introduce the impeachment and she has said “It is not on the agenda”
I agree this president has circumvented the constitution with the torture
memo and the fourth amendment.
The Dem’s cannot get Josh Bolton or Harriet Meirs to answer their
subpoena plus the matter of Gonzales lying to congress. It’s all on the
table but will the president and vice president simply run out the clock
