Justin will do great. He has family support plus a large following. As to your intrepetation of "seed" its used as a noun in the sports world. You surely don't want the verb term at his age. To young to develop grandparents.
Noun usage - The initial state, condition or position of a changing, growing or developing process; the ultimate precusor in a defined chain of precusors.
1. The initial position of a competitor or team in a tournament. (seed position)
2. The team with the best regular season record receives the top seed in the conference tournament.
3. The competitor or team occupying a given seed. (seed position)
4. The rookie was a surprising top seed.

To arrange (the drawing for positions in a tournament) so that the more skilled contestants meet in the later rounds.

THIS COMMENT IS FOR THE ARTICLE WRITER.
In the 7th paragraph, the word 'seeded' should be 'seated', as in "Campbell is seated third". You're talking about rank or seats or postion, not seeds or gardens. Otherwise, the article is awesome. That's my only nephew -Campbell- you're talking about, and I'm mighty proud of him. My best wishes go out to Campbell and Riedesel and Memorial HS. I hope they both do very well at the State UIL Track Meet. Thanks for providing coverage of their accomplishments. Cyndi Hitchcock, Sugar Land
