Since a major topic was "Should Hillary drop out" and how she would cripple Obama's chances against McCain. I found this item on the Los Angles Times blog today. They have a GOP coup in the making.
But in the meantime, quietly, largely under the radar of most people, the forces of Rep. Ron Paul have been organizing across the country to stage an embarrassing public revolt against Sen. John McCain when Republicans gather for their national convention in Minnesota at the beginning of September.
Paul's presidential candidacy has been correctly dismissed all along in terms of winning the nomination. He was even excluded as irrelevant by Fox News from a nationally-televised GOP debate in New Hampshire.

I guess that would depend on your definition of recently.
Byrd was in the Klan in the 40's. (for which he has appologized for, for the last 50 years. Would I vote for him? Probably not, but I don't live in his state. Byrd is not relavant to the conversation.
Klan members not to long ago (1996) pled guilty to burning a church to the ground. Is that recent enough.
Seven Indicted in North Carolina Klan Bomb Plot
Posted: January 11, 2006
Seven alleged members of a Ku Klux Klan group in North Carolina have been indicted on weapons conspiracy charges related to a 2002 bomb plot.
Four suspects, Daniel Leigh Barefoot, Jonathan Ashley Avery, Jonathan Maynard and Rossie Lynwood Strickland, were arrested on January 6, 2006. Three other suspects, Sharon Renee Barefoot, Marvin Glen Gautier and Michael Anthony Brewer, were previously arrested on murder charges.
That's pretty recent.......
But this is a red herring for the real point...You can't help who supports you. Whether it is scum or scum.

And the KKK supported Reagan
How many sucide bombers has the KKK been responsible for recently? Senator Byrd the old KKK exhausted rooster supported Reagan? Hamas probably figured with Obama family ties to Muslims and political ties to Wright and his pro Africa politics was a "homeboy"

Wrong again. ALL of my post are still there. I went back and checked all my post before asking.
The only post I have ever had removed was done long ago because some whiner, not you, turned me in, cause he could dish it, but couldn't take it. Coward that he is/was. Once again, it weren't you, so don't start crying like he did.

Re: Ragman don't fall for it.
Instead of 2008 issues(indefensible)social conservatives will try to distract, get completely off topic,go back to yesteryear, instead of facing reality....Don't worry about it,they only make up 25% of the electorate and that is dwindling.

ragman posted As far as Kerry and his appearance in front of congress, I can tell you need to read more about it. All of it is available on-line.
I have read all the lies that Kerry told that day. Many were based on stories related by the “Winter Soldiers” and later refuted by the same men.
The same day Kerry spoke those words, Rep. Sam Johnson (R.-Tex.) was sitting in a cell in the infamous Hanoi Hilton POW camp, where he says he was tortured, underfed, and mostly cut off from correspondence by his captors, in violation of those Geneva Conventions. Johnson told HUMAN EVENTS that his North Vietnamese captors had moved him there recently after 42 months of solitary confinement-another convention violation.
"When [Kerry] testified against the war, his testimony was un-American and untrue, and I think he lost all credibility as a real military man," said Johnson, when asked to comment on the full 32-page transcript. Johnson, a retired Air Force colonel, was a prisoner of war for seven years after being shot down in North Vietnam in 1966.
Johnson said the idea that 200,000 Vietnamese were annually "murdered by the United States of America" was "not true. Absolutely not true." He also complained of Kerry's liberal use of his Vietnam service in his presidential campaign, particularly the use of the slogan "band of brothers," a Shakespearean reference to the camaraderie of men who have seen battle together.
"It's a phony deal," he said. "There are Vietnam veterans that you'll see who will call you brother and commiserate with you over experiences over there, but his use of that is totally false, and I don't know how anybody could fall for it
In his 1971 testimony, Kerry also repeated charges leveled at Vietnam veterans in the so-called "Winter Soldier Investigation," a mock trial held in Detroit by antiwar activists in January and February, 1971. At that event, scores of men claiming to be combat veterans fresh from Vietnam accused themselves of atrocities such as throwing Vietnamese POWs from helicopters and making them drink poisonous helicopter hydraulic fluid.
In his introductory statement, Kerry told the Senate committee of the Detroit meeting and its lurid, unproven accusations: "They told the stories at times they had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravage of war." These crimes, Kerry said, were "not isolated incidents, but crimes committed on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command."
"It's just a slap in the face for Senator Kerry to suggest, as he did in that hearing, that people killed other people and committed war crimes on a daily basis," said Rep. Duke Cunningham (R.-Calif.), a highly decorated Navy fighter pilot who was shot down over North Vietnam in 1972 and later rescued. "Think of the loss of life that [Kerry] has caused directly, and the heartache of thousands of people that have served in the military-this veteran accusing them of criminal action," he said.
1971 Winter Soldier CID Investigation files: John Lytle claimed at WSI that his unit murdered civilians by destroying villages with artillery fire without making any effort to determine who was there. However, Lytle told the CID that the villages were actually fired on because it was suspected that Vietcong occupied them and incoming fire had been received from the area.
1971 Winter Soldier CID Investigation files: Robert McConnachie claimed at WSI that Army troops in a convoy threw C-ration cans at Vietnamese children with such force as to kill one or two. He also said an artillery unit had intentionally shelled a hospital and killed civilians. McConnachie backtracked when questioned by military investigators, saying that no Vietnamese children were actually killed by troops throwing C-rations. He said he now believed that the alleged killing of civilians in a hospital by artillery fire was accidental.

Even John McCain backed off this silly accusation, saying Barack Obama does not share the views of Hamas, but when you have the same foreign and economic policy as George W. Bush.,what else can you do? Especially, since 81% of Americans think this country is going in the wrong direction. The GOP has no choice, but to use the tactics of Karl Rove "attack and distract" with social issues, innuendos, and outright lies. Thank goodness the American electorate will see through this, just like they saw the gas tax holiday for what it was, a gimmick, according to exit polls.

Reagan was supported and hardily endorsed by the KKK. So, what does that mean? Republicans always get the support of the KKK, does that mean they are all racist? You tell me. I don't think so, but using this logic--hmmmm.

I don't think it was Hezballal but Hamas that approves of Obama. You know how it is all that terrorist bunch looks the same.
By: Newsmax Staff
"Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama has received an endorsement he might well wish he hadn’t — from the militant Palestinian group Hamas.
Ahmed Yousuf, Hamas’ top political adviser in the Gaza Strip, delivered his endorsement in an interview with WorldNetDaily and WABC Radio in New York.
“We like Mr. Obama, and we hope that he will win the elections,” Yousuf said.
“I do believe [Obama] is like John Kennedy, a great man with a great principle. And he has a vision to change America, to [put] it in a position to lead the world community, but not with humiliation and arrogance.”
Obama's refusal to condemn the profane pasror reminds me of the 2004 election. Several of the Demeocrat uber alles also seem to put great store in being veterans of Vietnam, but I never heard a solitary one condemn John Kerry for standing in front of Congress and accusing them of murder, rape and assorted other war crimes. So a terrorist organization supporting Obama is small potatoes for the Democrat loyalist who evidently believe in party loyalty trumps honor always.
