I was being facetious (look it up) on the remark about my sister.
All of the other stuff I was serious about and witnessed with my own 2 eyes. It's funny but I'm getting a lot of messages from people agreeing with me LOL

Not hearsay on my part. If you would read my post (Do they teach people to read in BISD?) you would see that I stated I was there when all this stuff went down. I used to LIVE in Victoria when I saw these things with my own 2 eyes.
And for Bighorn to come in here and agree with me that says a lot....he never agrees with me LOL

Several of you are on here talking about what so and so said or did. Once again, it is hear say. The kids do not deserve the type of negative comments that are coming from some of you. The Advocate is here to "cover" surrounding counties and things that are happening; regardless of where you are from. This whole post has gotten way out of hand. It was simply started to find out why the lack of coverage once all of a sudden when Bloomington won. Differnet races and pregnancies have nothing to do with it. RedRage- start that stuff when it is relevant to the story/post.

Contrary to popular belief ,Hispanic is not a race.
I coached-managed over 20 years at all levels of youth baseball and Bloomington fans and players were never a problem. There were competitive bunch, and unlike any other community the talent pool varied every five years or so. I do remember Victoria being the bad guys at the Cuero,Karnes City,Kennedy hosted tournaments because of our bigger city arrogance.
I believe this year Bloomington is upset ,but isn't this the time of the year for a letter to the editor from a disgruntled parent, because their son did not make the All-Star team?
Don't make this one incident about race or a bad neighboring community.

Guess what?? what majority of race plays for Bloomington?..
Chinese?? So what kind of people are you refering to? There is nothing but latinos/hispanics there ..Give me a break. and if their are any Anglos well guess what..they are half Latinos also.. they may have a white surname but probably their mothers are hispanic..Give it up already.. so you think Bloomington is Ghetto.. and so are their children that play LL baseball..but you know what they do raise their children dignity and morals but they also teach them to not get runned over by people who tell them they are Ghetto..they also teach them to have pride in what they do and if they are gonna do it... to do it well.. and do it with Ganas..y con todo su corrazon. they are All HEART baby!!!

NOT ALL the parents are like that though... donot base your opinion on a few to ALL..There are still a bunch of them that do have manners and can hold their own in a public place and would never lower themselves to making a spectacle of themselves or of their families. There are some that would NOT like have attention drawn to them. (sheer out of self respect ..pleaseeee) but then you have THOSE like in every other place you go to. you know the kind.

A friend of mine from out of town sent his kid to a baseball camp. While there, the kid struck up a friendship with a kid from Bloomington and they got to be big pals. That spring, the local Little League played a tournament in Victoria against Bloomington. During the game between the two "pals" teams, the Bloomington team cursed and slammed the mothers, fathers and all the family of the other teams kids. And after the game, threatened the kids from opposing sides at will without being called down (and in fact encouraged by) Bloomington adults. In fact, my friend called down a couple of Bloomington kids, and was threatened by several Bloomington parents (idle trash talk, as expected).
My friends kid was crushed that his "pal" would run crap at him like that. When he asked "why would you do that?" the reply was that he was a "pinche gringo and amounted to less than s...t to them."
An enduring image to remind us all of Bloomington.

Once again, you need to go back and re-read my comments. Where did I bring up hispanics? YOU were the one that brought up hispanics in your post about all these hispanic kids from Bloomington going to all these different schools. Not once did I bring up race into the issue on why Bloomington is ghetto.
My first post was on the ghetto Bloomington LL fans that are always at the games...and are sore losers. Where did I say they were latino/hispanic?
Find it, and I'll buy you a cookie.

You know I am so tired of you proclaiming about the pregancy rate at BHS.. What is your beef with that..why do you think only Bloomington girls are capable of doing it?? For your info there are a few around the area and in your neighborhood that probably would do it way faster than they would.. I dont get you, you are a typical latino/hispanic .I guess it is true what Coach Hodie Garcia said about the hispanic Race.. They are like crabs if you put a bunch of them in a can they will crawl upon each other to get to the top.. meaning they use each others to advance oneself because hispanics/latinos put their own race down cause they rather be something else that they are not..and will never be UNITED..

Why are you bringing race into this? Did I say hispanics/latinos were ghetto? No. You must obviously think thats what I meant. I am hispanic/latino myself. And why does it matter that I don't live in Victoria anymore? I'm not making up my experiences. I was there 2 weekends ago and saw some of the tourney(my younger nephew is playing now)....I didn't go see Bloomington though because I didn't wanna get shot or attacked with a baseball bat.
My main point is that people in Bloomington are always crying about coverage. Maybe if Bloomington had WON the tournament then they would have been covered, but I believe VICTORIA NORTHEAST won the tourney and will now play VICTORIA NORTHWEST.....VICTORIA teams. Get it? Win something besides the highest teen pregnancy rate and maybe you'll get your coverage.

You know I am so sick and tired of Victoria telling Bloomington what they think of them.. ..let me tell you all something.. we have student from Bloomington High School..graduated from all part of the world.. we have one student that attended Cornell University in New York and finished in Construction Science..we have a state full of Texas Aggies that graduated with honors and SOME have their Master (not white, baby)... latinos/hispanics!! We Also have a truckload of Latino/Hispanic Chemical engineers, Mechanical engineers Computer engineers with degrees from The University of Texas @ aTx and Texas a&m in College Station and Kingsville..and many many teachers majored in Math and history and English..we have Ag Majors degreed twice with honors from Texas A&M College Station, Texas (not Anglo), Hispanic/Latino.... we have a ex student of Bloomington high school working with Condelesa Rice, baby...and graduated from St. Mary's University , also hispanic... Plus I could sit here and name all that have gone to college and been successful people from Bloomington..so, whose Ghetto now? I guess these children raise themselves without their Ghetto parents. They must be doing something right ..dont you think?Ohh plus, we have a slew of military personel (ex BHS graduate/college graduates students) in Iraq/Afghanistan as we speak trying to keep "those people" from coming over here trying to get ghetto on your butt. So, I would think twice before you call someone Ghetto... ..we wouldnt want to resort to name calling.. nah I wouldn't lower myself to that level...

Huck- sounds like a plan!! Scout, you are dead on. It helps to know that there are others out there that see the good; even though the little town is always in the wrong.
Johnhancock- go out there and make some changes. There are plenty of people that see things your way, but it doesn't mean these kids don't deserve the coverage. They have something to be proud of and if the Advocate can't step up, then I'm here to inform everyone what a great job these young men, coaches and parents did.

Bloomington needs to quit whining about the coverage. I'm from Bloomington, but there are more problems in our area to worry about. And until the community wakes up and incorporates itself, Bloomington shouldn't expect much from Vic. We need to quit relying on Victoria because the residents there don't give a dam$ about us. A movement need to get started to incorporate, so we can dictate how our town is run!

Despite the humor, Redrage has pretty much been spot on in his remarks.
Tha parents treat this Little League like there were millions of dollars riding on every pitch. Take a close look at the talent on these teams in our area. They are average if not slightly below average. Not one team in this area could hold it's own against any of the teams that play in the world series. They would be run ruled no matter who they played.
Thats why I get all bent reading about a parent whining because they didn't get coverage from the Advocate. It's a Newspaper and they have limited space.
Did you enjoy following your team and supporting them? I'm sure the answer is yes. You should be satisfied with that. Instead, whiners can't just be happy, they have to find something to complain about.

RR- your negative input is off basis. You are not even living in this area. Your education must not be insignificant because you flip and flop for both sides. PLEASE don't represent Victoria. Bloomington has always been postive in thier image. I know 1st hand. You appear to have little man syndrome with a big truck. sorry.
I have dealt w/ issues on both sides of the table and trust me it comes from all eco-social backgrounds, baby.

If you're not there, then all you have to go on is hear say; whether it be from your sister or someone else. Victoria is just to blame because they always fall into, if not start mouthing first. They are no better then the other visiting team. I have been there the past three years so I can honestly say it has been descent. Of course the blame is always going to fall on the small town. No one thinks they should be able yo compete with all your daddy run teams.

I was talking about the adults, not the kids. The kids have no control over their parents. Every time Bloomington brings their LL baseball teams to town their ADULT fans don't know how to act. They don't know how to take a loss and move on. It wasn't just one year that I saw this. It was every year my nephews teams encountered Bloomington and their ghetto fans. Those kids will probably grow up and be just like them which is sad. I grew up in Victoria so I know how Bloomington is. I wouldn't wanna leave a dog in that town.
This year seemed different. My sister said that Bloomington actually behaved this season. I'm shocked!

Oh and you live there, right? That's how you know so much. I don't even live there and I know more than you. Before you try putting others down, why don't you step p to the plate and try to improve things. And grow up while your at it. We are talking about 11-12 yr olds playing in a little league championship and you try to blame them on how things are today. Take your support elsewhere. Not even Victoria kids need your negative impact. Did you not see the photo in the paper where players from bith sides where having a good time together after the game?

Redrage and tstorm- i will excuse your idiotic comments. Ghetto- look what Victoria is turning into. For your info RRAGE, I remember when an irrate Victoria parent met me in the parking lot because my girl played better than his son and he didn't think she should be out there. There's some ghetto Victoria mess for you since you seem to know so much. They're everywhere; get over it.
THuckleberry and Tiggerfan06- we appreciate your support. The kids, coaches and parents worked hard to be winners and they do deserve to be recognized. But once again, if you're not on a Daddy coached Victoria team, you can forget about it being in the paper. At least we have Newscenter 25 to pick up the slack. Good job team.

Bloomington is ghetto and always will be ghetto. Maybe the Advocate didn't interview them because they feared for their safety.
I remembered when my nephew played for Victoria Northwest that we always had to worry about our safety when playing Bloomington because they were such sore losers. We beat them one year and their fans got rowdy and even threatened some of our fans with a baseball bat because we were celebrating our win on OUR side of the fence. A police officer had to be called on the ghetto Bloomington fans.
It's always been like that with Bloomington...damn ghetto @$$ podunk town. Go form your own newspaper and go cry to someone who give a damn.

I knew this was going to happen; yesterday when I went online to check out the sport page hoping to find something about Bloomington beating Northeast 4-0 nothing had been updated; it was still showing the Northwest info from the day before and I knew when I woke up this morning this was going to happen like I posted on the Northwest article. VICTORIA ADVOCATE YOU ARE BIASED, I GUESS YOU HAVE TO LIVE IN THE NORTHEAST AREA TO GET A BIGGER ARTICLE IN YOUR NEWSPAPER; THAT IS WHY I CANCELLED MY SUBSCRIPTION. THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN ON MAKING IT VERY EASY FOR ME TO MAKE SURE I DON'T SUBSCRIBE AGAIN...

Once again no comments from the Bloomington. Just shows how the advocate works. It's not like they didn't have the same opportunity to talk to Bloomington coaches/players. I hardly doubt they would declined to comment. I'm sure they would have said they are proud of their season. Not only was there no comment from Bloomington, there wasn't even a story of Thursday's game when Bloomington WON and forced another game. Thank you Newscenter 25 for covering Thursday's game. To Bloomington: keep your heads up. You guys had an outstanding season.
