Daniel Michael Laughhunn and Carol Jean Speakerman Laughhunn were married on November 12, 1983, at the Gazebo in downtown Victoria, by Judge Frank Crain.

Approximately 100 guests attended, including Dan's parents, Gene and Cecil Laughhunn, and Carol's mother, Margie Wells Cummings. The maid of honor was Elizabeth Speakerman. Eric Smith was the best man.

Dan retired from the James Moody Post Office in Victoria in 2008 and is now the second grade teacher at Faith Academy. He also loves missions work, and has been on mission trips in Sri Lanka and Mexico.

Carol, a loving mother and homemaker, worked at the Victoria Advocate from 1979-1981 as a reporter for the women's section (now known as the lifestyle section) and was the first public relations officer for the University of Houston-Victoria in 1982.
