Caitrin Leslie Murphy of Canyon Lake and Kyle Bryant Alexander of College Station were married at 6 p.m. on July 9, 2011, at Jack K. Williams Administration Building, on the campus of Texas A&M University in College Station. Pastor David Murphy, cousin of the bride, officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mike and Barbara Murphy of Canyon Lake. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Fuller of Canyon Lake, Mrs. Bobbie Murphy of Bryan and the late Ray Murphy.
The groom is the son of Brent and Diane Alexander of Collierville, TN. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Kurk of Houston, the late Myrtis Kurk, and Mrs. Doris Alexander of Victoria and the late Harry Alexander.
Brittany Schmidt of Crosby attended as matron of honor. Lindsey Brelsford of Katy attended as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Terri Anne Alexander of Baton Rouge, LA, sister-in-law of the groom, Kelsi Burleson of Pasadena, and Sherry Burge of Conroe. Molly Chambers of Austin, cousin of the bride, attended as flower girl.
Cody Nelson and Trevor Spadlin, both of Houston, served as best men. Groomsmen were Kurk Alexander of Baton Rouge, LA, brother of the groom, Justin Cannon of Meridian, and Cole Cook of Clear Lake. Thomas Alexander of Baton Rouge, LA, nephew of the groom, served as the ring bearer.
Ushers were Cameron Murphy of Canyon Lake, brother of the bride, John Casone of Dallas, Aaron Green of Austin, and Frost Alexander of San Antonio, all cousins of the groom.
A reception was held following the ceremony at Benjamin Knox Gallery in College Station. The couple honeymooned at the Port Royal Resort in Port Aransas and reside in College Station.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Pasadena Memorial High School in Pasadena and a 2011 graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in community health. She is employed by St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan as a wound care and physical therapy technician.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Victoria and a 2009 graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station with a degree in sports management. He is employed with the Department of Recreation at Texas A&M University and by St. Joseph Catholic School in Bryan as the offensive coordinator of the varsity football team and head track and field coach.
