Kenneth and Martha Jones of Victoria celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 30, 2011. After being treated to a Brazilian dinner in Austin hosted by family and friends, the couple then boarded a cruise ship in New York City and began an extended tour of the Eastern Seaboard and Nova Scotia.

Martha Everman and Kenneth Jones were Victoria High School sweethearts and married on September 30, 1960 at First Baptist Church in Kingsville where Martha taught elementary school music and Ken played football and student coached for Texas A&I University. They are blessed with two sons, Jason and David, David's wife, Sophia and Jason's friend, Chris Jean Cobb, all who live in Austin.

Kenneth, retired VISD coach, science and criminal justice teacher, is associated with Jones Family Monuments. Martha, retired VISD administrator and Victoria College instructor, teaches continuing education genealogy classes and participates in patriotic organizations throughout the state. Both are active members of Northside Baptist Church.
