Several reports of shots fired

Police responded to several reports of shots fired on Laurent Street late Wednesday.

Sgt. Kirby Redlin said he thinks all three reports that came in about 8:15 p.m. were connected.

A driver on North Laurent Street traveling in the inside lane looked up and saw someone in a dark SUV on his right pointing a pistol at him. He turned left onto East Airline Street but still heard shots fired behind him.

A second driver in a vehicle, also going north on North Laurent Street past Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, heard shots fired as a dark SUV passed - then, what appeared to be a bullet struck the windshield.

Police found a bullet hole in Gi Gi's Grooming and Pet Supply after a third report of shots fired farther north on North Laurent Street.

No one was injured in the shootings, police said.
