The Mainland Chorale and singers will present "Sing a Mighty Song" in Goliad State Park on Saturday.
Under the direction of Dr. James Heffel, accompanied by Deb Lewis and Carol Holst, the singers will perform a concert at the old chapel of Mission Espiritu Santo De Zuniga.
The program will include a diverse repertoire of both sacred and folkloric choral music.
The haunting sound of bagpipes will echo in the historic chapel as the chorus sings a lovely arrangement of "Amazing Grace."
The centerpiece will be a performance of "The Magnificat," by 18th century Italian composer, Giovanni Battista Pergolesi. "The Magnificat" from the Gospel of Luke - also known as the Song of Mary or Canticle of Mary - will also be sung.
