BREAKING: East girls knock off undefeated Brennan in regional semis

BREAKING: Victoria East girls have picked up their 39th win in spectacular fashion, holding of San Antonio Brennan's late charge to hand the Lady Bears their first loss of the season 70-56 on Friday night, advancing to the regional finals where they will either face district rival Floresville or Cedar Park Vista Ridge, the team that eliminated them last year.

Brennan pulled to within six with 3:10 left in the fourth quarter, the closest they got at any point except for the first few minutes, before East took a time out, gathered itself as a team, and surged back out to a double digit lead.

The Titans dictated play for much of the half, leading by as much as 15 at one point.
