Amanda Isabel Caldwell and Gustavo Hernandez, both of Victoria, were married at 4:30 p.m. on December 31, 2011 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Victoria. The interfaith, double-ring, ceremony was officiated by Fr. Bur Dobbins of Trinity Episcopal in Victoria and Fr. Stan DeBoe of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Victoria.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Maureen Caldwell and Mr. Victor Caldwell of Victoria. The groom is the son of Miguel and Maricela Hernandez of Victoria.
Victoria Mort of Claremore, OK attended as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Hope McLemore of Ringling, OK, Dayna Huckabee of Fayetteville, AR, Kelsey McGarity of Victoria, Nia Vu of San Antonio, and Nicki Cooley, Puyallpup, WA. Junior Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Caldwell and Slater Caldwell, sisters of the bride, both of Victoria. Flower Girls were Emma Reyes of San Antonio and Alexandra Vargas of Port Arthur.
Miguel Hernandez, Jr. of Victoria, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Braeden Caldwell of Victoria, brother of the bride, Keir Nevarez of San Antonio, Jordan Brown of Las Colinas, Aaron Padilla of Victoria, and Christopher Vu of San Antonio. Tommy Hernandez of Victoria, served as ring bearer.
A reception was held following the ceremony at the Victoria Country Club. The couple honeymooned in Antigua and will reside in Fayetteville, AR.
The bride is a 2011 graduate of The University of Arkansas with a degree in International Business. She is currently employed by Sam's Club, Bentonville, AR as a Recruiting Project Coordinator.
The groom will be attending Northwest Arkansas college to pursue a degree in Kinesiology.
